Dr Neslyn Watson-Druée OBE
Dr Neslyn Watson-Druée was born in Jamaica. In 1969, aged 19, she travelled by plane to England to train as a nurse. She trained in Tunbridge Wells. In 1973 she transferred to Kingston-upon-Thames Hospital where she studied and qualified as a midwife. She went on to become a health visitor and subsequently a lecturer. In 1988 she set up her own business: career development company for ethnic minorities, which she continues today. She currently leads the Kingston Primary Care NHS Trust.
